Sharman Okan lives a dynamic life with her husband and three children in a hilltop community, in the Gold Coast Hinterland, Australia.
Her home is in a constant state of energetic expansion… home schooling her three children and guiding their diverse life requirements, sharing with other community members, as well as facilitating gatherings and workshops on various subjects. The family living room is frequently given over to masters and teachers of various traditions, as a place in which to share their healing and wisdom. Her life is a devotion to consciousness and awareness, the essence of which comes through in her daily experiences, her music and her work.

Sharman comes from a family whose pursuit of consciousness guided them all to live as sannyasins in a yoga ashram, for twelve years, in Australia and India. During this time Sharman developed her deep relationship with chanting mantras and has shared this love through her beautiful singing voice and unique understanding of the divine dance that arises while chanting. The potential for ecstasy, miracles and expansion of consciousness is profoundly accessible whilst chanting and Sharman empowers this potential when she leads chants.
Sharman has explored many traditions with various masters, including Yoga, Tantra, Reiki, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Martial Arts, Psychology, Body Psychotherapy and others.
She regularly holds Women's Sacred Space weekends, Women's Circles, combined Men's and Women's Circles, Chanting Workshops, Reiki classes and other events that inspire awakened consciousness, healing and ecstasy. One of her special interests is working with children and teenagers to assist their inner essence to be realised in their outer reality.
"I have received some pivotal blessings in my life. The courageous freedom I was given by my parents, Swamis Bhaktimurti and Karmamurti Saraswati, allowed me to be with myself at an early age. They placed very little conditionings or requirements on my presence in my life.
Next came the ever sustaining grace of being in the presence of and at times living in close contact with, Masters from various traditions. These Masters inspire me constantly, in the way that they have no gap between their inner and outer reality. Their consciousness and ruthless benevolence have bestowed upon me an irrevocable authenticity. Their love and bliss are with me always - I live for it - I depend on it and yet I am free because of it.
Chanting the Name of the Divine is one of the best things I can think of to express and share this love, bliss and freedom, with the planet, the people, and all of creation. I am also passionate about satsanga - gathering with others and sharing the space of truth, love, ecstasy and spontaneous healing."
